Exciting News: Opening of the Ukrainian Saturday School!

We are excited to announce the opening of the Ukrainian Saturday School on January 11, 2025 — a dedicated space for children to immerse themselves in the Ukrainian language, culture, and traditions. Located at St. Patrick's Catholic Elementary School, Woodstock, ON, Canada, this school provides a welcoming environment where young learners can connect with their Ukrainian roots while embracing the multicultural spirit of Canada. We greatly appreciate the enormous support of the London District Catholic School Board, Alma Gordon and St. Patrick`s Adult & Continuing Education Center for our learning opportunities as the Ukrainian Community of newcomers in Oxford County. 

A New Chapter in Ukrainian Education in Canada

The Ukrainian Saturday School will host classes every Saturday, allowing children to learn the Ukrainian language and explore Ukrainian history, folklore, and art. Currently, we focus on educational activities for children and do not offer adult lessons. However, we encourage adults to get involved by becoming volunteers!

Volunteer Opportunities

While the Ukrainian Saturday School is focused on providing educational services for children, we also offer opportunities for adults to get involved as volunteers. If you’re passionate about Ukrainian culture and language and would like to contribute to our school’s mission, we encourage you to consider becoming a volunteer. What You Can Expect

At the Ukrainian Saturday School, children will have the chance to:

Learn Ukrainian Language: Students will be introduced to the basics of the Ukrainian language, focusing on speaking, reading, and writing.
